I have Sony WH 1000XM3 headphones which I really like but there is a very noticeable sound lag when using bluetooth. Sony phones do not support the aptX low latency codec and this latency causes problems when playing electric keyboard games and watching videos. Avantree Aria Me solves this problem as it supports both aptX LL and aptX HD, although not both. I use low latency when playing the piano and HD when listening to music without video accompaniment. To be able to use these functions, you need a Bluetooth transmitter that supports these codecs. A distinctive feature of these headphones is their ability to profile the user's hearing acuity. I'm 71 and have good hearing in general, but after Woodstock and lots of loud music, I can barely hear above 10,000 Hz. This leads to a rather boring listening experience. The nice, airy sound I could hear before is gone now. Even with an equalizer app on my computer, I can't get my old hearing back. But there's a solution: these headphones work with an app that measures hearing loss based on frequency and adjusts levels in the hardest-to-hear bands. The app walks you through a simple hearing test to see how sensitive your ears are to a range of frequencies, and saves this profile both in the app and in the headphones themselves. You can save multiple profiles to accommodate more than one user to support. The result is stunning! Now when I listen to a quality recording, I hear a tone I haven't heard in years. I was initially skeptical about this feature, but it works as advertised. Phones are light and convenient. You can charge it with the included charging stand or by connecting the micro USB cable. I didn't test the battery life, but they fully charge in about two hours. The usual controls are present: power, pairing, on/off noise reduction, volume control, and track selection. Noise-cancellation isn't as good as my Sony pair, but good enough. The phones come with a hard case, an audio cable, a USB charging cable and a charging station. The instructions are sufficient. The app is easy to use and available for both Apple and Android operating systems. try them; they work well and the price is right. You will love the profiling feature, especially if you are over 50.
