This pump was bought because of its higher capacity than many others on the market and because it accepts a garden hose as one of two attachment options. We use a pump to drain a medium sized children's pool and direct the flow onto the lawn. The pump is durable, quiet, easy to use, has a long cord and works great. The pump turns on by simply plugging it into the mains, so it is important that the pump is in the water before plugging it in. Suction is enough to lift the vinyl off the pool floor and press it against the railing, restricting flow. For these or similar situations, we recommend placing the pump on a flat, hard object, e.g. B. a plate on the bottom of a swimming pool.
