I bought two sets of these 10-piece yellow pom-poms to decorate the ceiling over my son's photo booth at his third birthday carnival. For most works, it was the best offer with the best scores. They weren't huge oversized pompoms, just the right size for a traditional pom pom I think. If I had used them for another purpose I could have gotten bigger, but they were a satisfactory size for what I wanted. I just shook them in one size with double sided tape to the ceiling in our kitchen. Judging by the photo, it turned out well. As a guide I used SIXTY pom poms on this blanket and that's all, what it covers (just in case you want to do something similar yourself). I would have ordered more to fill the entire room but I was running out of time. Good news, I can use them again. With only a few tears from tearing off the tape, they are perfectly intact and fully fluffed. There were small gaps in some of my hasty strokes, but you couldn't see a single tear, and the strokes speak for themselves.
