After my 2012 MacBook Pro, I needed a lot of hubs and adapters when I upgraded to a new USB-C only MacBook Pro. I initially settled on a CharJen side mount hub which I was very happy with, so when I was looking for an additional Ethernet enabled hub I settled on the brand. At the moment it's absolute overkill for my needs, but I figured it would be better to go with a hub that seems to have all the specs to keep it safe for the future. While I don't currently have any devices to fully test the performance to its limits, I've been very pleased with what I've been able to test and look forward to taking full advantage of the performance in the future. other products, the overall design is perfect for Mac. The indicator light is not very bright, which is nice and easy on the eye when needed in a darker room. There are four small rubber feet on the bottom which are fantastic as they prevent it from sliding around on a table or desk. It's a nice touch that I haven't seen on my other similarly styled hubs. The only thing I really wish this was a "maximum" dock is that it had a CompactFlash reader because I shoot more with it than on SD or microSD. To be honest, it was difficult to even find a USB-C reader for this niche of cards, so I hardly expected it to be in a hub.
