Really very disappointed in this carrier. The quality initially seemed great and I introduced the carrier to my cat, he seemed to really like it and all the 'guarantees' and quality assurance + testimonials here made it really strong and durable. Unfortunately, this is not the case, especially if your pet resists. On my first two-legged flight, my cat managed to bite through a hole in the net and climb out through the hole, he got to the top of the plane and I had to pick him up from the flight attendant. The damage was irreparable, but TSA helped me patch the second flight. Great, thought I could try holding him on my lap, just watch the tap and calm him down, huh? No, he also managed to ruin the zipper on the top fairly quickly, rendering the entire carrier unusable. We needed to contact United urgently through their information desk and they provided us with a new operator asap but charged us $60. Turns out the carrier they had was IDENTICAL (and three times more expensive). I figured it would take at least one more flight - especially the new one, but then it punctured again straight away, I had to convince the stewardess to let me hold me on my lap and I held it still which helped us through the second flight. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BACKPACK, I contacted the company with some of the above pictures (and more) and they were beyond useless and offered to send me additional nets for the shoe shop to fix the strap. Big.
