Review on 🔧 HuthBrother 783-06988A Steering Rack – MTD 783-06988 Compatible by Kelly Sadiq

I installed this on my small Cub Cadet mower and it was a breeze. Both the rack and pinion appear to be of good quality and the same thickness as the original part that I removed. The most important thing to remember during installation is to ensure that when tightening the two nuts that attach the steering rack to the mower, you need to pull the steering rack towards the gear as hard as you can to ensure they engage properly. . I didn't do it the first time I tightened it and it just kept jumping. Once I loosened and tightened it, it worked great. I have only mowed my garden once since installing it and the mower has done a great job. Also, don't forget to lubricate the gearbox before installation. I'll update this in about a month so you know how the stand is holding up but for now it's worth the money and I would definitely recommend this product.
