The original air release valve and pressure gauge that came with my Pentair sand filter is cheap, short lived, and quickly degrades with exposure to the sun. Replaced with this new gauge and plumbing [Gasher 6 PCS 1/4" NPT brass fittings, ball valves, brass barstock T-pipe fittings, and air hose fittings]. Much heavier and more durable. A crappy plastic Pentair valve alone is $15-$21 on one Revain no gauge Paid $28 for new parts and couldn't be happier Original sensor read up to 60psi Not a very practical level for a pool pump It has a maximum level of 30psi Much more practical and worth the upgrade
