Review on 10Ft Patio Umbrella With Infinite Tilt And Resilient Recycled Fabric Canopy: Perfect Addition To Your Outdoor Living Space by Debra Burgess

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Less than a year old and I can hardly turn the handle to lower the umbrella.

Update: I was able to finally find a way to contact customer support by going through Walmart support. Support email for them is support@wikiwiki-us.comI figured out the issue. It is just a poor design. The housing with the handle on it collects water when it rains and does not drain. When it gets cold this water freezes and makes it nearly impossible to turn the handle. Since we use this umbrella for the hot tub, in the winter this is an issue. After a rain if you start to raise the umbrella water will just start pouring from the housing. Very poor design! My old umbrella was 12 years old and I never saw water come out of that housing. I guess if you live somewhere where it doesn't rain and get cold this is the umbrella for you. After contacting support they just offered to give me a cover for the umbrella. The last thing I want to be doing in the rain/snow is standing out there trying to remove the cover from the umbrella that I'm trying to put up to keep me dry.--------------------The last offset umbrella I had lasted 12 years outside 24/7/365. I've had this for less than a year. The handle is really hard to turn and the gears are slipping when you try to lower the umbrella. I'm just waiting for something to snap. It says there is a year warranty on it but I can't find anyway to contact anyone for warranty care.
