These are amazing headphones. I rarely write reviews for the products I buy. I probably should and often intend to do it, but I usually forget. These headphones and the B&O customer service gave me a reason not to forget that. First I would like to start with the quality of these headphones. I, like many of you, have been trying to decide between these and the similarly priced Bose ANC headphones. I chose these because many reviews said that while the Bose noise-cancelling covers a larger area, the sound quality was better with these headphones. I will say right away that I have never had headphones with such sound quality. Yes, some of the higher frequencies will pass through the noise-cancellation, but I use it on a busy college campus and on airplanes, and it's enough to drown out anything (unless you're actually hearing BETTER intercom announcements on an airplane). Again, the sound quality is amazing. You need a personal amplifier to achieve what these headphones are truly capable of. They don't make that strong an impression on phone listening alone, but after listening with an amp, I have a hard time listening to music in the car or on any other subpar stereo system. Without that quality, they just aren't the same songs. The sound stage is what really sells it. While playing the knock on wood with the 3D sound generator, I took off my headphones and went to open the front door. Confused. Now, after some use, part of the connection in the cable has come loose. It crackled when I moved it and it made listening to music unbearable. I contacted B&O support and they said they would fix the problem. However as the shorts come with a 2 year guarantee they sent me a BRAND NEW PAIR even after using my own pair for over a year and a half. In my experience, this kind of customer service ("this damage isn't really covered by the warranty") is hard to come by in the electronics industry. I really could go on and on about the different aspects of these headphones. Battery life, memory foam, nice design, durable cable, easy charging, etc. But I feel like a lot of reviews cover that, so I'm just saying this is the product you should go for. The "friction noise" on the cable specified by others also doesn't bother me at all. You first notice it when ANC is on and there's no music playing, but you can't hear it while the music is playing.
