I mostly listen to directions and try not to look at the GPS too much which is good as this unit is so low that I can't my eyes would have to turn away from the road to do so. My cup holder is just behind the shifter so I figured it might get in the way, but luckily the GPS holder can be flipped up so it's out of the way. My only regret is that it cannot be installed on the dashboard. . The last bracket I had, however. I had to bolt it to the dash to keep it out of the hot Florida sun. Devastating for a car but so beautifully situated. I have a new car now and I can't bring myself to do it. at least as long as I'm still paying for it, so as long as I can't, it should be enough.
