I purchased this product because my license plate was recently stolen from my car and replaced with stolen car license plates. Unfortunately, it turns out that's exactly what criminals are doing these days. Anyway, I just installed it on my machine. I tightened it very tight and put in plastic plugs which are easy to remove but the inserts made the screws inaccessible from the sides so it's not possible to remove the screws unless someone has the special tool that comes with This kit comes with the screws to remove them on your own. I even tried unscrewing them with pliers, but the inserts got in the way. Time will tell if this actually works I guess as the thieves are still at large and I have a feeling they might try to come back soon for another new plate. Plate, then plate, then washers, then inserts, then screws, then caps. Don't fully tighten the nuts on the back, leave some space because when you tighten the bolts on the car, the nuts tighten around the plate.
