Some bad reviews said it was buildable but not strong enough to hold an item. While I agree that assembly could have been easier, it wasn't difficult. Seriously, it took less than 5 minutes to assemble without using the instructions. The reason I chose this product was because the product images clearly showed how it was assembled. Given that the support legs are bolted on either side, I thought this would be a very educational piece, and it is. fit. And if I really wanted to, I would look for a metal bearing ring instead of a plastic one. At the same time, I saw similar bad reviews for things 3-4 times more expensive. I made the decision that it was good enough and I'm glad I did.
