It's great. Not a rugged, tough tennis shoe if that's what you're looking for. With a good sole, it is more flexible. My son loves them and said they are very comfortable. They dry quickly when wet and feel supportive enough to wear all day. It alerts them all day long in the water and outdoors. They are comfortable for both of you. He loves the look and they quickly became his favorite shoe. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5: One of the plastic loops holding the laces broke when we were tightening the laces. WE didn't screw them up or handle them roughly, and it just fell apart. Luckily he can wear them even if he malfunctions and it's not too obvious that they're broken so we just kept them. Overall great shoes, I would recommend them!
