Review on Roku Premiere Streaming Media Player by Chad Delgado

I bought Roku Premiere not Premiere+ and Ultra because HDR had issues. My premiere works great! I even managed to get it working with my outdated 4K UHD TV using the monoprice blackbird 4K Pro hdcp converter. Early owners of 4K UHD TVs like myself really messed around with this HDCP nonsense. This Roku replaced my AppleTV Gen3. Roku is faster and has a higher resolution. Surprisingly, I found the Roku easier to use than the AppleTV, and there are many more apps for the Roku too. Win, win the situation. My only complaint is with the Roku remote. It's not backlit, so it's difficult to use in the dark. All buttons look the same, so you can't use them without looking at them. I would also like the bottom 4 buttons, Netflix, Amazon, Sling and Vudu shortcuts to be reprogrammable. You can also use your smartphone as a remote control, this also gives you the option of "private listening with headphones". Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and plan on buying more Rokus for the rest of the house.
