Review on Industry Digital C-Mount Microscope Camera with 14MP TV HDMI, USB, TF Video Recorder DVR by Brent Henderson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good camera for use with a trinocular microscope

The image produced by this camera is sharp and clear as expected. We use it connected to a TV via HDMI to view rock and mineral samples in our cutting class. We had an old camera that broke recently so this camera was purchased as a replacement/upgrade. An improvement over the old camera is that we can use this camera to photograph samples. We didn't connect this camera to a computer, so I can't comment on that. Here are some things I think Hayear can do to improve the usability of this camera when connected via HDMI. 1) The only way to delete pictures from a memory card is to reformat it. There needs to be a way to remove individual images or mark images for removal and then remove the group. 2) The power button on the remote control does not turn the camera on, only turns it off. 3) The white balance has the following values. Settings are Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten and Fluorescent. We currently use halogen lighting. The automatic setting is the only setting close enough to use. There should be a manual setting where you can put a white sample in front of the camera and take a sample to set the white balance. 4) The camera may display a cross in the center of the image. If this cross could be positioned with the arrows on the remote it would be very useful as a pointer. It just turns off the camera. 3) The white balance has the following settings: Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten and Fluorescent. We currently use halogen lighting.
