CISNO USB Digital Microscope: 2MP, 1000X Magnification, 8 LED, Windows-Compatible Review

Works ok, the stand broke first day though. The stand really is too flimsy. The software is basic and was a little glitchy installing but got it without too much trouble. It is very touchy to focus in due to the extremely high magnifying. You really need the stand as it needs to be mounted and sitting completely still to get a good clear image. Like most of these things the instructions could be better.

Have a Mac and didn't have a cd-rom drive to install software. All I had to do was plug it in and open QuickTime Player, select new movie recoding and then select the usb drive. Works great for the price and definitely gets the job done. Take the cd it comes w and throw it in the trash. There is no sense of installing additional pointless software on your computer.

I've had this for about four days now, and love it. I had seen reviews that noted this didn't seem to be 1000x - so, I wasn't expecting a true 1000x zoom on it. So, ignore that this says 1000x zoom. This is a high value camera in the sense of what you're getting versus what you're paying. Not too bad. Measurement app did not work with my laptop (Windows 10). Did get it working with just the driver. I will mess around with the measurement app some more to try and get it to work. The microscope will zoom in quite a bit by rolling the silver focus wheel. Photos were at the same distance on the board. Just spun the silver wheel to zoom in. The plastic arm that the microscope rides on is a little flimsy so if you adjust the silver wheel, you may have to over adjust to get a clear…

Good for school projects, not so much for university or professional level. I rather recommend a Dino-light for scientific photography and publication. The "measurement" app/program used is also very difficult to understand and buggy.

Way cheaper than the movies or mini golf, this little microscope is fun and it actually works fine. The picture size isn't huge but you can clearly see quite small things, even some scale on the edge of a hair! A dead cricket off the floor became a beautiful fantasy creature under the scope. It is easy to focus compared to others I've tried over the years and you can snap the photo with the mouse so you don't move the scope when you click. Quite pleased.

Does not seem to work with Windows 10. Leds light, the laptop chimes when the microscope is plugged in but nothing else. That's my feedback.

The zoom/snap buttons on the side don't do anything, even with the "Digital Viewer" software you download from their site. Their tip on how to zoom/focus and then zoom again was helpful though and I got some really good 640x480 images of a 3D printer model (the silver/glitter image), and an extreme close-up of the black threads of my shirt.

The camera itself can reach impressive magnification, but the resolution is much lower than shown. There is also a long lag time in the camera output, up to a full second.If you're expecting a great deal, this camera isn't a super steal. It's about worth the value you pay.

I purchased this item on a whim during Walmart Prime Day due to its low sale price and am not disappointed. After installing the supplied driver software and attaching the USB cable to my computer the LED bulbs lit up and the magnifier was ready to use. Worked once then windows error. Tried everything to get it to work - uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Obviously Chinese junk (due to primary instructions language). Too late to return it. Not even heavy enough to be a paper weight!

The quality of the images is pretty bad. Still pretty cool to see stuff that close up, but I wish it wasn't so grainy.Also the stand can't really hold the thing up.

don't care how much you can magnify,it had a hard time to focus and when there is only a 2 megapixels viewing , pictures was not that great or trying to view it on computer wasn't even pleasant. sorry thumbs down for me

If the software worked it would be quite handy. Not so much with Windows 8 or 10. With the legacy software it produces decent images. Very difficult to keep it steady and the perspective is usually skewed. For the money it is ok.

My kids and I really enjoy thinking of new things to check out under this microscope. It's so powerful! That's my review.

I expected the quality to be low based on the price, but it doesn't work at all. It worked intermittently when I first tried it, but would constantly lose connection with the computer. I gave up for a few weeks before trying again and on my second attempt it died completely. LED lights come on but computer won't recognize the camera. Very cheap. Stand is flimsy. 2 mp camera pitcher quality is horrible. Kids like playing with it on the up side. Would recommend a better quality camera.
