I've had this for about four days now, and love it. I had seen reviews that noted this didn't seem to be 1000x - so, I wasn't expecting a true 1000x zoom on it. So, ignore that this says 1000x zoom. I'm including a picture of how big of a zoom you will get from this though - and it's incredible at the price ($16.99). I'll also include a few other pictures I took.I use it with an iMac running the High Sierra OS - and no drivers are needed for the microscope. It shows up just like any other USB camera when you plug it in. I have used it with QuickTime Player to make micro-videos and PhotoBooth for still shots, and I've used it with FaceTime. you can switch between the microscope and your normal Webcam during a FaceTime call. Very cool! The "zoom" button appears to not do anything; the "Snap" button will flip or rotate your picture so that it's oriented how you'd expect it to move when you move the microscope around (super essential IMO). It's also really helpful to be able to adjust the lighting via the little in-line light adjuster. So, I don't believe the zoom is really 1000x (but the zoom button does nothing either as far as I can tell - so, you might get more functionality with a PC and the PC-only app that comes with it). However, this thing is definitely worth the money, and zooms in well enough to be useful, educational, and fun.
