As a college student, I don't have constant access to a television. Therefore I use my Switch in handheld mode all the time. The problem with the built-in kickstand is that you can't charge the Switch while playing, and actually holding the Switch while charging it is uncomfortable.I honestly can't remember what it was like before buying this (except that I would play, then set it down to charge. Not play and charge). I love that I can choose the angle for up-close, mid, and far Switch viewing. The one and only issue I had was with how easy it is to bump into the Switch on the stand (I live in very tight quarters) and collapse it. However, I am happy to report that this never sent my Switch flying and has not resulted in any damage whatsoever. The foldout holder under the Switch is surprisingly sturdy and keeps it from sliding too much.TL;DR The HORI stand is an excellent solution to the problem of charging your Switch while playing in handheld mode. The stand's portability complements that of the Switch, offering three viewing angles and a foldable frame. The only downside is moderately easy collapsibility.
