I carry the comb in my pocket and have always had issues with the combs durability, the teeth get stuck between my keys and break. It's holding up great; Too bad I didn't think about a folding comb for a long time. The outer casing is *very* solid, which is a good thing in this case. And it doesn't hurt that the scallop looks gorgeous! Admittedly, I don't do this very often, but this is the first time I've had a *brush* that I really enjoy looking at.
