Not compatible with a GFI outlet
I bought this for my kitchen. It works great. A 4th gen Echo Dot fits on the shelf with room to spare. The bad. It does not really work with a GFI outlet. The unit plugs into a standard 3 prong outlet on top and then has a plastic pin that should go into the bottom outlet for added stability. I just learned the bottom plug on a standard GFI is ever so slightly lower. This necessitates breaking off the plastic pin.
