PSB Alpha T20 speakers are well made, stylish and sound fantastic in my opinion. The Alpha speakers come packaged very nicely and despite the fact that the box was quite crumpled when it arrived, the speakers were in perfect condition. Condition. The materials used in the speakers are of high quality, the wood veneer is beautifully finished, the speakers have a good weight and are not intoxicating. The speakers come with pegs for placing on carpet or round feet for wooden floors. They are inserted into the steps under the plastic legs. I actually had to remove the plastic feet to make the speakers short enough to fit under my TV. The only part of the speakers I didn't like were the metal grilles. The edges feel rough, some holes were plugged with paint, the PSB label just stuck and fell off. Luckily, the grilles are held in place by magnets and stay in place well. If you don't like the grilles, the speakers behind them are very well made and attractive. I have connected speakers to my Yamaha Aventage RX-A880 receiver. I connected them in a two-wire circuit. The devices I have connected to Yamaha are a Samsung TV via optical audio out, a Panasonic 4K Blu-ray player via HDMI, and a Bluesound Vault 2i via optical audio. I used to have a 3.1 system with Polk bookshelf speakers and a Sony subwoofer. So my previous system wasn't exactly low-end, but these PSB speakers knock this setup out of the water, even though it's just a stereo system. That's right, I left out the center speaker and subwoofer and found that the sound quality should improve. Music played through Bluesound in FLAC format sounds warm, bright and beautiful. The bass is strong but not overwhelming, and the vocals are clear and pleasant. When watching movies and TV shows, dialogue is easy to hear and sound effects are clear and powerful. It's really hard to put into words how good these speakers are. In general. cool speakers.
