Great monitors!: my review

We did a lot of research when we decided to upgrade our monitors. There are so many things to consider and trying to research online can be dizzying! This model hasn't gotten many reviews yet, but it really seems to hit the sweet spot between features and price, so we took a chance and couldn't be happier! The screen is HUGE (based on a 24-inch) and the out-of-the-box color settings are workable at first, although you can tweak them to your liking. There are no speakers, but I almost consider that a plus as I've never had a monitor with speakers that sounded better than a baby walkie-talkie. I can't say anything about Freesync because we don't have the right graphics cards for it. You can do a quick search to find and install the Acer display widget, which is very handy as it allows you to change settings on your desktop and offers the ability to set different display settings for different programs or games to have. It also has a built in split screen setup with multiple layouts to choose from. It's very handy, and with a monitor this size, I use it a lot for multitasking. But even if you don't get the widget, this is probably the first monitor I've had where the controls don't want to make me drag my hand. Hair. There's a small joystick on the back that works exactly as you'd expect. You press to activate or select it and you press up, left or right and the option selection moves the same way. It's a simple thing, but it's very nice to have intuitive controls. I've never had a curved screen, but this one is very nice. Given the size, higher refresh rate and curve, games are VERY immersive and we enjoy the games we've played more than ever because we see a higher level of detail and you really feel like you're in a game. as opposed to watching the game on screen. The only criticism of the design was that the cables are very awkward to insert during assembly. However, this is a one-time frustration, not a daily problem, so it's easy to overlook. I have no hesitation in recommending this monitor to anyone. We love ours!
