Review on 💄 JPNK 16-Piece Makeup Brush Set with 3 Silicone Facial Mask Brushes - Rose Gold by Evelyn Cacsire

I picked this set thinking some of the brushes would be bigger - and for three silicone mask brushes. First, the mask brushes stunk to high heaven. It was very chemical - like strong nail polish mixed with turpentine. Really bad. Tried to ventilate - no. Then I soaked them in a cup of vinegar for a day. No, I still smelled the noxious chemical stench. I ended up pickling them in vinegar for a whole week, dousing them with essential oils several times in between. Now they smell of lemon and rosemary. I honestly haven't used it yet. The memory of the original smell still haunts me because silicone was never meant to smell like this. So I'm not exactly sure what they're actually made of, so I'm hesitant to use them at all. As for the brushes, my $35 foundation brush that I've been using for over 10 years finally seems to be falling apart a bit. I thought I could get this set and maybe some brushes would work. The problem is that they are a lot smaller than I thought. The bigger ones are not that big and too soft. None of them seem suitable for applying my foundation, bronzer or even blush. But I like big and durable brushes. They are more used for shadows and highlighters. In addition, they had a slight odor. Not that scary - and they went on the air of their own accord - thank goodness. However, I washed them.
