I picked this set thinking some of the brushes would be bigger - and for three silicone mask brushes. First, the mask brushes stunk to high heaven. It was very chemical - like strong nail polish mixed with turpentine. Really bad. Tried to ventilate - no. Then I soaked them in a cup of vinegar for a day. No, I still smelled the noxious chemical stench. I ended up pickling them in vinegar for a whole week, dousing them with essential oils several times in between. Now they smell of lemon and…

I bought these to start building a guest kit so they are not for me to use myself but for me to use as part of my photography gear when a portrait client brushes needed that i can use am too new. to photography to hire a makeup artist. I like the variety of brushes but this one just doesn't suit me. Some are very soft and some are incredibly hard and almost unusable. Bristles could use some work. I was really hoping I would like them as I don't have many brushes but I think I only liked 4 or 5 of them all.

I thought the price was good for so many brushes. There are all sorts of shapes for different purposes and the brushes seem to hold up pretty well to use and cleaning. Some of these brushes are great, others went straight to the trash. This is probably just a sign of poor quality control as in some cases the shaft was horribly crooked to the head. Some of them were too heavy to be useful, I think about half the pack was good enough to use and the rest was thrown away. For the price you can do better.

This set has more brushes than I have ever used. I'm watching some videos to learn how to become a makeup artist and they mentioned/showed brushes that look like this. I'm amazed at what I can do with it to create a professional, sophisticated look. The brushes have nice bristles and are reinforced with a metal band around the brushes. Silicone brushes are new to me. They are great for applying and smoothing out thicker makeup in one go.

The set is not very good but what do you expect for the price? Many of the brushes were flaking and had a STRONG chemical smell, almost like a crab. They also have some sort of powder right out of the pack. I washed them right away. Although they feel very soft. This would be great for someone just starting out with makeup or a child who wants to play. Be sure to wash them THOROUGHLY before placing them next to your face for safety. It would have been 1 star if I hadn't considered the price.
