The perfect gift for anyone who cooks/bakes/kebabs. The dual probe makes it versatile for use in a variety of culinary situations. The extended probe cable makes it suitable for use in the oven and BBQ grill. I like that it has an automatic on/off function when the thermometer probe is extended and retracted. It comes with a battery inside and 2 spare parts. The thermometer features a backlight for easy reading and an alarm to alert you when your meat reaches your desired set point. It really is an INSTANT READ! I have included a photo of my thermostat to show that the thermometer temperature is accurate. The 1 degree difference is due to the thermometer being placed on a granite countertop. I wish the magnet was a little stronger, or maybe there was a second magnet in the handle to keep the thermometer horizontal, but it sticks to the surface. Amazing product for the price.
