Wow! In the months after I hooked up Spectrum Cable Internet, my sons and wife complained about poor Wi-Fi performance and got disconnected from the network. I assumed it was the cable modem because we had a Linksys dual band wireless router and my new iPhone 7+ seemed fine. I have a download speed of about 110 and an upload speed of about 10. I contacted Spectrum support and they turned off wi-fi on their modem so it wouldn't interfere with my wi-fi signal. However, my family complained. So some research showed that my double locked wifi router only had 2 available signals instead of 2.4G, 5G and guest signals. I figured that as Linksys gets old, I should probably get a 'new' Wi-Fi router to keep up with modern technology. Luckily I found this KW6516 at Revain for about $80. The reviews were very encouraging, so I bought one. WOW! It's everything people have been talking about and more! I set it up in about 4 minutes without a single word of profanity 😎 I was very impressed with how easy it was to set up, connect my devices and use it all with no interruptions or disconnects. I have some TCP/IP background but it really didn't matter. This is a very simple setup. Another reviewer suggested disabling SYN flood protection to prevent your devices from going offline in high-traffic situations, but doing so can leave you vulnerable to denial-of-service attacks. Just my humble opinion. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this little beauty 👍 In my opinion it costs twice as much.
