Review on πŸ”Œ Enhance Network Connectivity with Cables Direct ETHERNET INTERNET ROUTERS by Loren Jacobson

GET MORE THAN $5 FOR A GOOD QUALITY CABLE. DO NOT BUY.

Love this cable. I knew I had to return it the moment I took it out of the box. Red flags, gossamer-thin, feather-light, and disturbingly flexible. Against my better judgment I spent an hour running this cable after confirming that it at least worked. After I finished I tested it again to check the network performance. COMPLETELY UNSTABLE FOR ANYTHING BUT SIMPLE NETWORK USE. I couldn't imagine putting this in a slot machine and spending the next few days trying to figure out why you're paying and flexing, it's awful. I ended up buying a well known brand cable and all my problems were gone. Curiosity got the better of me, so I opened the jacket to see what was inside. Very, very thin wire with minimal twist to avoid interference. In several places, the wires twist about 1 inch apart. Compared to the real Cat5e which is fully twisted. Then, after trying to make up my losses and using it for shorter runs on smaller projects, I realized I couldn't even terminate the cable! The wires are so thin that none of my connectors touch each other when crimped. (Modular, end-to-end, or push-to-keystone.) So here I am with the scrap wire.

Pros
  • Excellent performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
