Review on πŸ–ŒοΈ Loew-Cornell Stencil Brush Set: 15 Brushes for Precise Stenciling by Carol Miller

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The first "0 " rating I've ever given!

I have never given '0' ratings and now I regret it. I usually have a nice word to say about a product and I think the number of brushes you get for the price can be accounted for. It took a while but I searched the contents of the bristles and found that they are nylon. Now I know why they hold absolutely no color. A stencil brush is designed to hold color well because you need to brush it onto paper or fabric until the color is almost dry or almost gone. These bristles, which are essentially plastic (nylon-polyamide), do not absorb paint and will therefore never function properly. If you paint with other synthetic materials, you can smudge the paint and still get the job done. When applying the stencil, the paint needs to soak into the cuticles of the brush. This can help the person who painted the solution. I myself wouldn't even consider doing this for new students as the result would be worse not because of the person's inability but because of the brush's inability to do its job. These brushes are not worth buying, plastic toothpicks are also suitable.
