I love this item. The thickness settings are very versatile. The blade is removable for easy cleaning. This thing is very strong because it's mostly made of plastic. My only issue with this thing is the safety mechanism. It's kind of clumsy. It's definitely necessary, though, as this thing will cut off your fingertip if you're not careful. The security mechanism does its job and serves a purpose, so I don't drop too many points. But I'd argue that I've had lower quality mandolins with smoother security implementations, although admittedly probably not more secure as it's pretty complete proof when used properly. I would recommend this mandolin to anyone especially if they are looking for something that will cut waffles.
