I like that it can be used to view files without having them in place or even open at all times (like with other programs). The lack of file previews makes some things difficult as well when dealing with large amounts data/files. It's not bad but just different from what you're accustomed too so take your time getting use to how everything works because there may come an instance where something isn't quite right compared to another program which has been around longer than forensic explorer. We have had success using FEx to help us determine if our clients were hacked by someone else who was trying access their accounts illegally through social media sites such as Facebook etc.. This helps keep track of those people since we don’t always know they will stop once caught accessing information via these types of websites. Also helpful determining whether one account should belong to multiple.
