I use it with a Microsoft Surface Book 2, the screen/tablet has a separate battery, which makes the entire car top/rear heavy. At 0- Tilt center of gravity so far back that the entire unit tips over.To keep the unit stable I had to lean all the way forward and tighten the hex screw to the maximum (effectively locking the tilt adjustment).The top plate should take an extra set or two of positioning holes (see image as a possible suggestion) or have some sort of Y-axis indexing that allows the user to slide the plate forward (and make the OPEN laptop's center of gravity closer to the z-vertical) Otherwise the build quality is in height and complements the surface very well Before you ask - the height adjustment requires two hands but is comfortable and locks in place uniquely, the Gie ren is quite satisfactory/stable.
