As usual, Razer never shies away from stepping up to the plate when it comes to things that it thinks the community would like, and this product is a reiteration of that point. As a wrist rest, I like it. It has a soft pleather texture and a very foamy inside that doesn't heat up when I use it and the foam is very economic to my meat mit hands. It's pretty comfy and I like using it, but not on my Blackwidow so much.Let me explain. The Blackwidow essential edition keyboard I own has an angled edge on the front of the keyboard, which is aesthetically pleasing to me, but the wrist rest has an angled edge as well at the same exact angle when I use the keyboard's feet at max height, which means that the wrist rest constantly rides up onto the keyboard and is kind of annoying. The non-slip rubber pads, while helpful, aren't exactly no-slip and they also move around on my desk. I tested the no-slip pads on multiple surfaces and the only surfaces that were really no-slip were glass and sheet metal. I need a wrist rest for my keyboard because I have carpal tunnel, and I looked around and the ones I found on Walmart didn't match the dimensions of my keyboard. Razer was not my first choice, to be honest. It was only when I was looking at Razer products to buy for my friend for his birthday when I noticed that this existed.TL;DR. It's a good wrist rest but the angle that my keyboard has doesn't really go well with the rest.
