We have had a scale before but bought this scale out of curiosity to learn more about our body composition. The set includes not only a scale, but also a tape measure for measuring height. We charged the scale with a Mac charger, downloaded and registered the app, turned on Bluetooth, then switched accounts and measured one for each family member. It was a really fun experience. It gives a very detailed report of your body index, including muscle percentage, hydration, bone mass, BMR, protein content, body age, body fat, weight control, protein amount and so on. It has standard comparison areas to give you a better understanding of your health. I believe the key to measuring is to step on both sides and grab both silver pads on each side, making this impossible for infants or toddlers with feet that are too small.
