OK, but it could be better.
I didn't want to make any of these pen holders from scratch. So I bought this knowing I would remove the string holding it together and replace it with an elastic clasp. Simple solution! I found that since the existing stitch was 1/3 inch all the way around, I had to add an extra layer of stitching around the existing stitch. See photos. Took me 7 minutes but not everyone has a sewing machine. Now he must serve forever
