The usual velcro fastener didn't suit me. This product was larger and stickier. I have a chair with frayed ends on the armrests and needed something to hold the armrests in place. When heavy and elderly people get on and off the armrests on a leather armchair, the armrests become a slippery problem. There is also a slide when the chair reclines and slides out again. First I tried regular velcro in combination with a stapler where it seemed appropriate. It didn't work for me at all. Staples turned out to be a big problem because they were everywhere. THIS item works great. The size of the velcro is larger and the stick is more sticky. So far, so good. I hope this continues.
