Have both the 52 and 18 oz sizes. Use the smaller one to store partially cut unions in the refrigerator; and the larger one to store coffee beans by my grinder. The smaller one is perfect for keeping the unions fresh and not transferring their odor inside the refrig - it only holds about two onions, but that's fine for me. The smaller one would probably be great for storing coffee, after I grind the beans - thinking of buying another one. I have to be very careful when pouring coffee beans from the larger container into my smaller grinder - easy to pour too many or spill some to the sides - might use it for something else and get a different container for coffee beans, but that is because my grinder is small.
