Review on ⚡ 6 Outlet Extension Cord Strip Surge Protector with Long Metal Power Strip, 6FT Heavy Duty Power Strip, 300J Surge Protector, 120V 15A 60Hz 1800W by John Reese

Revainrating 3 out of 5

High wattage metal power strip with built in circuitry and surge protection. good value!

When I looked at the 1800W Metal 6 Outlet Power Strip I immediately thought of all the commercial signage, awards and labeling shows I've attended over the years. When we worked at the Fortune 500, we always had a pretty nice exhibit at the booth. And I always used heavy-duty extension cords in our electrical boxes. Unlike the plastic extensions you see on the market, metal is your only option when you need a strong strip that can take a beating. There's another problem with extension cords that we've all experienced when we didn't think of all direct-connect devices. You need space between each outlet. So unless you're just plugging in a small, low-current 120VAC plug, you need to be mindful of the spacing between outlets on the strip. And you also want to make sure the orientation of the jacks leaves extra room under the plug-in. The orientation of the sockets and the distance between each socket is the first thing to consider. regardless of the price. As a 1800W power strip, you can actually draw the maximum current available from a standard household outlet. And this strip at a very good price includes both "surge protection" and "load protection with built-in circuit breaker". Kind of a no-brainer for good 5-star quality.
