Review on πŸ•°οΈ Discover the Timeless Efficiency of Simmons 1160/PM500 No.2 Pitcher Pump by Ryan Larson

The one I received must have been assembled on the Friday afternoon before the bank holiday weekend.

When I pulled it out of the box, I found that there were no cotter pins on the handle's lever mechanism, which fell apart in my hands. I have some rusty nails all over the cab to fix. I assembled it at the wellhead, and on the third or fourth handle pump the entire top part came loose. There is a turnbuckle. acts as a handle stop that secures the top. Doesn't last, pulled several times in vain. There must be a notch or retainer to allow the end of the screw to grip the pump body. Low urine design! I'll fix it with a drill and some Loctite. But if that's any indication of the lasting quality of this pump, I think I've wasted my money.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Big and bulky
