Although some reviews noted poor packaging and sometimes damage upon receipt, I haven't had any such issues. My complaint would be that it is poorly built and requires a trip to the hardware store to properly align the base as well as properly balance and place the spinning wheel. The spinning wheel has a washer/nuts on the back of each pin that are too big in height/thickness and end up banging against the post which basically doesn't make the wheel move very well. The threaded rod that attaches to the base was too long on the end sticking out of the bottom of the base and basically prevented the base from being stable. A couple of inexpensive metal washers is all you need, but it's a simple matter that can be easily sorted out with a little quality checking at suppliers/manufacturers.
