Review on ACDelco 213 4338 Original Equipment Sensor by Eric Wright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The critical part will be fine.

I installed this OEM part in my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and it cured problems with rough idling, hard starting, stalling and poor mileage. Don't waste your money on cheaper remanufactured sensors or MAF sensors from other manufacturers. They are short lived. If you're wondering if your mass air flow sensor is faulty, give it a gentle tap with the handle of a screwdriver and if the idle changes, you probably need a new one. As a final test, I unplugged the electrical connector from mine and the motor ran smoothly. This works for a while but is not a permanent solution as it affects mileage. The engine computer goes into default mode when the mass air flow sensor is disconnected and only estimates how much gas to supply to the cylinders. I had to buy a special security bit to loosen the screws, but that's no big deal. This part is easy to replace. I am in a wheelchair and have had no problems with it.
