Review on 🚡 ROCKBROS Mountain Bike Pedals: Durable Nylon Composite Bearings with Wide Flat Platform - 9/16" MTB Bicycle Pedals by Jaime Benenati

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Possibly the best composite flat pedal other than the OneUp counterpart which copies it from

I've tried many composite flat pedals: the 'classic' Raceface Chesters, the squarer version of the Rockbross, the Crankbrothers Stamp 1, etc. d. Of all the above, this one is by far the best. The platform is wider than the Chesters which is handy even for a #9 shoe like mine, the cleats are in the middle of the platform not just on the edges and the overall "flat" platform design :d. H. The weakest design choice for Stamp 1 is that the axle hub is centered "over" the edges of the platform, meaning your shoes can't properly pick up the pins in the center and either edge of the platform. Not with these Rockbros! All of the pins "live" in the same plane as the composite platform itself. You often get "too much" traction with them and it's difficult to reposition the shoes on them if your foot comes off as it almost impossible to slide/spin it but in my opinion it outperforms any day alternative. on a flat pedal. Of course, if you can save $, credit the OneUp components for the original development of this pedal, but the Rockbros version definitely "borrows" all the right design elements to create a superb flat pedal that outclasses any alternative that I've tried outperforms - not just for the price. .

Pros
  • . Good value for money
Cons
  • Functionality
