I've been hesitant to buy something like this for a long time. There is something wrong with my legs and the doctors can't figure it out. I have occasional pain and sometimes swelling. In the summer, when it's stuffy, the legs swell and it's very uncomfortable. I love these bandages. You don't have to decide on a size like many others. The pieces have huge areas of super sticky velcro so one size fits almost everyone. You can run "continuous" or "split" modes. Continuous is a pre-programmed sequence of zone/sleeve inflations to attempt to gravity remove swelling upwards and out of hard-to-circulate areas such as calves and feet. Separate where you can select which zone. It's easy to understand by looking at the picture of the controller: (T) high, (C) alpha and (F) oot. There are four inflation settings. The more air, the more pressure. The second parameter is used by default. I found the first adjustment to be light compression on the legs and heavy compression on the foot. The second mode was a bit painful for my calves, but they're still sensitive, so I don't blame the machine. I use two 20 minute sessions continuously and then it starts to hurt. But at this point my legs are so swollen that I can feel the tarsal bones. I can also feel/see my calf muscle. I feel like the swelling has gone. A few more things and I'll be done with this book. This is not a magic finger massager. I don't think massage is the right word for it. It's compression, but part of the sequence is compression/decompression, almost like kneading, but only for a short time. I fell asleep in front of him once. It's relaxing. Connect the cable to the wall and then to the device. I find it less undecided. The device is a pump and it is very quiet. It smells like chemistry at first but it fades away, just put it somewhere to air it out. Conclusion: I love it! This helps the body circulate as usual. Also, $30 off is like stealing!
