This is a really good kids helmet. So far I've seen and used helmets that have to be adjusted to the size of the head, then put on, taken off, adjusted again and iterated through the same process. This is different and in a good way. You can adjust the helmet on your head by turning the red ring for a really comfortable fit. In addition, you can also tighten it with the chin strap and these two adjusters are great for adjusting the fit on your head. This is an important part of wearing a helmet as it shouldn't come off in the event of a fall. That being said, black is good, it's versatile and goes well with any colored bike. The material feels strong and light. The straps are hinged with metal pins to create a strong connection. There are pads on the underside of the helmet to cushion the impact. The helmet has holes for ventilation and to prevent sweating. So all good, very pleasant and inexpensive. Overall rating five stars
