I'm used to those can openers that stand upright and you put the can under the lever and then push down. do you remember them Anything else made since then is fake in my opinion. But then. It literally connects itself to the jar once it automatically centers and opens each jar every time! You know how many other can openers I've broken trying to open a stupid can of tuna? Or I would use other means like a knife or something. This small handheld device, about the size of the palm of my hand, surprises with its simplicity. It ran on battery power. Guys, be one of them or be dumb like I always was and try can openers that aren't dated and work user friendly. This 1 does! I had to pay a bit more for it, but now that I'm using it, it does all the work for me. I put it on the glass, I get it centered exactly, which takes about 1/2 second. And not only is it ready, but it magnetically releases the lid when you lift the opener from the can! I didn't even have to touch the lid.
