I bought this fabric shower curtain at first because it was machine washable. So the washability is the only positive point. A light spray of a water and vinegar mixture was badly needed for mold protection, and it washed perfectly in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. I hung it up to air dry again. As for its performance as a shower curtain liner, it is very disappointing and I would NOT recommend others to buy it. Now I understand why they call it water resistant and not waterproof, but I still expect the shower liner to withstand more splashes than it does (although I've seen in other reviews that their "waterproof" versions advertised were ineffective because well ) . So if you have a very small shower then you probably shouldn't buy this curtain liner as you really want to avoid getting as many large splashes of water on it as possible. It resists light splashes but is sure to swamp your floor if your showerhead pours directly on it. Ok if my shower was huge enough that I didn't have to worry about splashing then it would be fine to keep longer but I feel I've done a fair 6 month test to to state what it is overall just not a great product - just considering, do you need a raincoat that will let the rain through? Yes, and another feature of the curtain is the weights in the two lower corners. As my shower tray doesn't work with magnets I can't tell if the magnets will work but I know the weight is big enough to hold the corners down BUT you will still find the rest of the curtain arching and swims with the water. warm and steamy because the curtain is so light. So the two magnetic weights at the corners aren't really enough, you need more at the bottom so that the rest doesn't float out. So the white color I bought it in was good, let in a lot of light and was easy to use. to wash. But god it was so inefficient as a shower curtain I can't consider it a shower curtain it could be a sheet! I will be turning this shower insert off as soon as I buy a replacement and will definitely NOT be buying this again.
