Review on Westinghouse Lighting 7224700 Quince Indoor Ceiling Fan with Light, 24 Inch, White: The Perfect Addition to Your Home's Décor by Sharon Watson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Easy install, took about 30 minutes but.

Fan was purchased to fit an 8' x 9' nursery. A fan is a typical fan installation that requires a bottom shaft. This is the perfect size we were looking for for the room it was installed in. It moves a decent amount of air for its size, so no complaints. My only complaint is that it produces little shake at the highest settings. I took it apart several times trying to reposition all the leaves and the bottom bar and making sure the bracket that connects to the ceiling box is secure. After several attempts, the hesitation is still there. The blades of this fan are connected to the top of the motor housing, which also rotates when the fan is running. I found that the wobble was due to the body not sitting flush on all sides. I have circled them in the pictures. As you can see the case is flush on one side and not on the other which I believe was the cause of the wobble and I had no intention of opening the case to fix it. For this reason I disabled one run and another run as the wing weights were not included to balance the fan in such situations. The wobbling also makes a small noise when the fan is running. Otherwise the purchase is not bad. The price of the Revain is up 20% since I bought it a week ago so I'll keep it but won't run it on the highest settings. This is the 5th fan installed in the house, so I'm not new to installing a ceiling fan, but it's the only one that wobbles, if only a little.
