I made a 190ft category 6 ethernet cable and it didn't work so I tested the 14ft category 5e ethernet cable I had and it worked. I then checked my 190ft and it worked with another device so I figured it was still too long. Cut another 20 feet and it still won't work. The TV shows a device connected to the input but when I switch to it it says no connection. Tested multiple monitors and TVs and it just doesn't work at 70ft but does work at 23ft. Not sure what the cutoff is (definitely not 196 feet) but my application is exactly 170 feet so I can't go shorter. We need to go back and test the 500 foot extension.
