Disappointed

I work in the AV industry and have decided to buy this set online rather than from the retailer I work with. There was an error. I do this for work and I broke my first rule of "get it right the first time”. I swabbed and installed this kit to expand my camera system and it ran from May 5th to June 25th. hot. Not to mention the oddity of the Cat 6 RJ45 connection not locking securely in place and yes I made sure my termination was done correctly and I still had to position the device to reduce…

Works like a master

I used this product to send HDMI video from my cable box/TV area to another location 12m away and the picture and sound quality was perfect. Second, although the audio and video were perfectly in sync, there is a slight lag of 1/10th of a second (or less) in the video and audio compared to the original. When using an audio source, the video lag is imperceptible. I used a 50 foot ethernet ribbon cable to run under the carpet. I've used this cable twice more with great results, highly recommend…

HDMI over Ethernet

Setup was very easy. I used it to send a cable TV signal over 50 feet of ethernet to a TV in another room. I did a test run before running the cable through the walls. The picture and sound quality was very good. I found 2 problems. First, the IR sensor failed to transmit the remote control of my cable box (Cisco #9865). It was able to work with my Samsung TV. The problem is the frequency used for the IR signal. I was lucky enough to have an RF remote that I could program. The second problem I…

Won't even work with a 70ft Cat6 unit

I made a 190ft category 6 ethernet cable and it didn't work so I tested the 14ft category 5e ethernet cable I had and it worked. I then checked my 190ft and it worked with another device so I figured it was still too long. Cut another 20 feet and it still won't work. The TV shows a device connected to the input but when I switch to it it says no connection. Tested multiple monitors and TVs and it just doesn't work at 70ft but does work at 23ft. Not sure what the cutoff is (definitely not 196…
