We have a 12 lb 6 month old smooth Jack Russell Terrier and it's getting cold outside so we wanted something to give him a little extra warmth and it was perfect . Of course there are also warmer ones as the fabric isn't very thick, but the material is warm and seems to give some warmth. He wasn't sure what to do with it when we first put it on him but now he's completely forgotten about it and plays, sleeps and does his "thing" with it and it's really no problem for him. We are a size 10 and it was the right choice. He will most likely outgrow as he continues to mature and fill up, but not this winter, so maybe next fall we'll buy him a new size that he thinks is optimal. At the moment we are very satisfied, but don't expect it to be really thick and warm, it isn't, it's good for getting rid of the cold and blocking some of the cold winter wind. Our 15lb Jack Russell is 21 months old and still fits perfectly! Our boy loves this the most of all the winter coats we got him and he looks great too! It shows no signs of wear and we are very happy with the product. We recommend this product.
