Review on πŸ’» Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 Docking Station (0A33970): Ultimate Connectivity Hub for Black by Max Rosengren

Good job on laptop accessories

I have a Thinkpad 12.5 Lenovo Twist, for those of you looking to expand monitor usability and visibility want laptop. I've been in IT for about 30 years so this review will probably carry more weight than most. The laptop is solid so I figured it would be a good platform for expansion. works as prescribed. Setup was relatively easy. It was just plug and play but you need the CD that came with it which can be annoying as the laptop doesn't have one so an external one had to be installed. I have two high end 23 inch monitors connected to the docking station with DVI cables. The USB 3 connection works for the most part, but some applications exhibit ghosting and screen flickering. However, this does not disturb the display, but it can be annoying. Another anomaly that some other users are also reporting is that there is a lag even when using the keyboard and mouse. I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard with a transceiver plugged into the front of the dock. It works again, sometimes a bit strange. And it's true, the laptop case needs to stay open to keep the docking station active and accessible. Also, the docking station looks attractive, it definitely complements at least this particular model of ThinkPad laptop. I hope this review was helpful.
